1/3 cup evaporated milk

2 sticks unsalted butter
16 ounces semi sweet chocolate
6 ounces unsweetened chocolate
6 eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla
1 cup dark brown sugar
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

4 ounces pecan halves (1 cup), chopped
1 (6-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1 cup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a double boiler, over medium heat, stir together the caramels and 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk until mixed. Remove from heat. Set aside.

In a double boiler, over simmering water, melt the butter, semi sweet chocolate and bitter chocolate. Stir until smooth and shiny. Cool to room temperature.
